Our Specialities

Our Teaching Philosophy

We place a large emphasis on horsemanship in our lessons for both children and adults. We believe that the foundation to becoming an excellent rider is having a strong foundation in horsemanship and horse care. Understanding horses and their instincts is one of the keys to becoming a great rider.

We require that our students groom and tack their horses for all lessons (with supervision and assistance). We strongly believe that something as simple as grooming your horse is an important step in becoming a more knowledgeable horse person. We also encourage our regular clients to do some lessons focused on groundwork and communication with your horse.

Our Instructors

Our instructors are Equine Canada certified coaches, First Aid/CPR/AED certified

What To Expect

We provide lovely school horses that receive the best holistic care possible. We have a strong belief in teaching safe horse handling skills and a foundational knowledge of equine care. Each lesson consists of time spent grooming the horse, going over basic anatomy when needed, answering any questions that come up along the way, tacking up, safe handling, and of course time in the saddle! We offer both Western and English lessons. We have an indoor and outdoor arena to allow us to work in all weather conditions.

Our coaches are all Registered Equestrian Canada Coaches. To inquire about our lesson program or to book in, fill out the form provided, and we will be in contact with you!

Our Facility

Our beautiful facility sits on 80 acres above the Salmon River Valley. The home environment allows the equines to be exposed to various livestock, equipment, and stimuli you would see in many situations. The trail access allows us to expose them to standing and flowing water, bridges, roadways, bush, logging roads, vehicles, open fields, narrow trails, wildlife, and so much more!

We have a variety of environments for lessons including an indoor arena, outdoor arena, round pen, and access to trails. We have props and obstacles available to be able to work on a variety of skills in our lessons.

What Our Clients Say About Our Lessons

"I've got nothing but great things to say about this amazing young lady. In the spring I brought her my 17 Andalusian mare who had been a brood mare for my mother in law to be started under saddle and my warmblood gelding for a refresher. Stephanie kept in contact and shared their progress almost daily and even posted pics of her working with them. Even after both horses went home she still sent me messages asking how they were doing.

On top of all that we recently bought our daughter a new horse who is very well trained but was off for 9 months before we got him so he also needed a refresher. Stephanie offered to keep him for a week to put a few rides on him and work out some of his kinks. He was having trouble picking up his lead on the right. Two days later we go out for her next lesson and he picks up his right lead every time!!! I am truly great full for the training she has put onto my horses and the time she has spent with my daughter and her horse Chance. To be honest when I first met her I was a little hesitant because of her age, but she was close to home and her prices were fair so I took a chance and soooo glad I did. I have no regrets, and you won't either!!! Thank you again for all you do!!"
